Newborn Photos
When Brooks was about two weeks old we had our wedding photographer come over to the house and take some newborn photos. She was wonderful and actually did the shoot for free since we used her for our wedding. Here are some of my favorites...
Two months!
I can't believe Brooks is already two months old. Month 2 has been really fun...he is becoming much more interactive with us and even started smiling and "talking" this month. We are sort of getting into a routine...we are attempting the 3 hour schedule but I just really started it this week. He is still waking up 2 or 3 times a night but I am hopeful we can get it down to one by the time I go back to work.
Here are the monthly photos. I tried really hard to get a smile but I could only capture one and the lighting is terrible for all of these. I need to take a class or something!
Todd thought it would be funny to have him "riding" charley. Poor charles...he was a good sport though!
Week 5: Week 5 was a busy week for us. First "snowpocalypse" hit SC and we got a few inches of snow and ice. Todd got to work from home because they closed all the bridges and it just so happened to be on Wed when I take his weekly photos.

My sister had given me this snowsuit that was her boys and when I pulled it out of the box I remember saying that he would never get to wear it but I'm glad I kept it!
This was our attempt at getting a family snow photo.
Uncle Chad also came to visit us this week and brought B some "babiators".
Week 6: Aunt Janis came to visit this week but I didn't get a picture :(. This was our first week where we really started going on alot of outings. He is great while we are out and about...he naps better on the go than he does when we stay at home.
Week 7: This was a big week because this is when we really started to get those social smiles. He also started "talking" to us so I took a couple of videos because I just think it is the cutest thing ever!
Please ignore my voice in the video. And also his poor left eye :( He has had clogged tear ducts since he was born and the left one is way worse than the right. I can't wait til we go to the doctor to ask them about it!
Talking to Dad...
We also had Valentine's Day this week so we attempted a little photo shoot in the Valentine's jammies that Nana sent. I couldn't get a smile but this is the "card" we sent to everyone.
Week 8:
I took this on one of our daily walks with Charley. I have been trying to do 3 miles on the days that it is nice out. He is usually sleeping but this time he was wide awake!
B has been getting better at holding his head up during tummy time.
We also took our first trip to the beach with my friend Katherine and her little boy Carter. Unfortunately it looked alot nicer than it was but when we actually got out there it was very cold and windy so we didn't end up staying long.
We did get to stick our toes in the sand though! <3

One Month!
We have had a great first month with Brooks. We had lots of visitors around to help us out and he is really a great baby. He is not fussy at all and pretty much only cries when he wants to eat (every 2-3 hours). I have been taking a picture of him every week and we are doing the monthly photos also.
Week 1: My mom was here with us the whole first week. We did a few more Christmas themed photo shoots before she helped me pack up all of our Christmas stuff.
We also went to the doctor when he was 4 days old and he had gained a few ounces up from his birth weight which was good! (He was very modest when posing for this pic) ;)

When he was 5 days old we put him down for some tummy time and he decided to roll over! Thinking it was definitely a fluke I made him do it about a million more times (poor thing) and we caught it on video.
Week 2: Todd's mom came to visit us the second week and his umbilical cord finally fell off so we were able to give him his first bath. He loved the water! (still does)
Week 3: He wore this when we went out to brunch with some friends. He was great out of the house--slept the entire time.
Week 4: By week 4 all of our visitors were gone and we were running out of activities so I busted out the playmat and he seems to like laying there and looking up at the toys.
On January 25th we got him all dressed up for his one month photo shoot. Here are a few of my favs...
The teddy bear is one of Todd's from when he was little that his mom had saved for him and of course Charles had to get in on the action. I am hoping to get a pic of the two of them every month like this but we'll see how cooperative they both are as we go on!
Meet and Greet
Brooks was lucky enough to have lots of friends and family come and visit in his first few weeks of life. Todd was great at snapping pics of everyone with him so there are only a few people not pictured (mainly my friends who came by while he wasn't here and I forgot to take pics). So here are his first photos with (almost) everyone...sorry Channel!
Meeting Nana
Aunt Mel
Cousin Matt
Cousin Jake (cousin Chase not pictured...he had a little bit of a cold while they were here so we didn't let him get too close)
Meeting Granddad! He drove up the weekend after Brooks was born.
Meeting Matt and his new friend Calvin.
Meeting Jordan and wearing an adorable sweater that Jordan's wife Camila's mom made for him.
Meeting Paige.
Meeting Gram!
Meeting Will and Andria...they came bearing diapers which is an awesome baby gift in my opinion. I'm doing that for everyone from now on!
Meeting Katherine and Ryan...they had us over for dinner when he was a few weeks old.
Meeting Uncle Chad!
Meeting Timmy.
Hanging out with Nate!
It's been a fun couple of weeks showing him off to everyone, and there are still so many people who need to meet him! Stay posted for meet and greet pt 2 ;)
