March 2016

It was a crazy and fun March around here with lots of people coming in to meet Izzy and all kinds of Easter fun...
Izzy and Brooks coming home from the hospital <3

Meeting Granddad!

We had a big BBQ while Granddad was here and Izzy got to meet lots of our local Charleston friends and also Uncle Bobby and Aunt Diane.

Brooks had a blast playing with his "fens" Brynlee and Lilly.

and getting pushed around by all of his funcles

Hanging with Uncle Bobby

We also went on a boat ride...

and Granddad bought Brooks lots of presents...he is finally starting to get the whole idea of presents and now walks around the house holding up his toys and going "Who bought me that?"

They even got a remote control boat to drive around the pond!

My sister and I took the kids to an egg hunt when she came to visit.

Brooks wasn't so sure about the face painting but after watching Chase he decided to give it a try...

He loved hanging with his cousin!

Egg hunt at school

Moms first night out to a concert!

Egg dyeing...he really loved it

Easter baskets

Cutest little bunnies! We are able to get better pictures now that he understands bribery...may or may not have been dangling a lollipop over the camera for these shots. #dontjudgeme

Izzy One Month!

Izzy is one month old! so crazy how time flies...

when she was born Todd and I both were convinced she looked exactly like brooks so I went back to compare some pics and really they actually don't look that much alike! there is definitely some resemblance but not as much as we first thought

health stats: at her one month checkup she was 9lbs5oz and 21in long. we switched ped offices and they don't do the cute little cards but it was somewhere in the 44th %tile and doc said she was good to go!
sleep: omg. omg. omg. I can't even. This girl SLEEPS! It's amazing. Ever since we brought her home from the hospital she goes to sleep sometime between 7-9 and usually wakes up once at 2 or 3 and then again at 6 or 7. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE. I really don't even know what to say about it except I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit while I was pregnant (with both kids) I would pray every night about things I hoped for them so for example that they would be kind, smart, etc. and THIS time I added in "god please let her be a good sleeper" and I'm thinking it totally worked! Thank you Jesus!
clothes: She is in newborn clothes and newborn diapers, obviously.
milestones: she makes eye contact, we have gotten a few smiles, other than that she is just really good at hanging out and being a sweet baby sis.
likes: Sleeping while being held, the Moby wrap, bathtime, rockNplay
dislikes: she does not love being put down during the day and so far is not a big fan of any of the little seats or chairs we have to put her in
