8 Months!

8 months!  I can't believe it…it is going by way too fast.  And these pictures are getting a lot harder to take now that someone is mobile.  I included a few outtakes so you can see what these photo shoots are really like behind the scenes.

Health stats:  Still good!  We didn't go to the doctor this month and there were no colds or anything.  He did pop out two more teeth on the top and that gave us a little trouble, but since then he has been fine!

Sleep:  What's that?  I barely remember it, I think it was something I used to do all night long but now I only do it in 3 or 4 hour spurts.  I'm not sure if its the teething, or the traveling we did, or what but its not good.

Clothes: Wearing the same clothes for now.  He will be in 6-12 or 12 mos stuff for fall though.

Milestones:  Mobile!  Army crawling--everywhere!  He is also able to push himself up to sitting while laying down.

He got to meet his great grandparents on Todd's side this month (Grandma and Papa Frank).  They came down from Florida and stayed with us for a few days which was fun!

Nana came for a quick visit!

He also went on his first road trip with Mom and slept in the Pack N Play (sort of).  Thank goodness it was only 2 hours away because about an hour and 40 minutes seems to be his limit with the car riding.  He slept a little bit but not as much as I had hoped.
getting ready to head out!

we made it!

Playing with his new friends Tucker and Sully.  He was obsessed with watching them run around.

Mom got to do a little of this during nap time!

He sits in a highchair everywhere we go now.

He also liked hanging out and playing with Carlyle.

On the way back he started losing it when we were still about 25 minutes from home so in desperation I handed him my iPad and that did the trick until we pulled in the driveway.  It's amazing how fast your principles will fly out the window with a screaming baby in the backseat ;)

Likes: He loves reading books now.  A few of his favorites are Pat the Zoo, Goodnight Moon, Peek A Who, The Very Busy Spider, and Brown Bear Brown Bear.  Todd usually does bath and story time before bed every night, which is nice for them to get to spend some time together since he goes to bed so early.

He also likes to peek out the sides of his crib when he wakes up, like he is looking for you.  It's soo cute.  Even when its only been at 15 minute nap.  Also, now that he is mobile he likes touching the sand at the beach and then he puts it in his mouth.  We may wait until he starts walking to go back!
